NewsFlash!!! NUGA BEAT ACGA (4-3) Friday 19th August marks a historic landmark in the history of NUGA. At 11:04 am, NUGA tee'd up at it's first ever UK inter-society match play competition at Surrey National Golf Club, Caterham against the Afro Caribbean Golf Association (ACGA). A fantastic day followed, with good weather, great sportsmanship, great camaraderie and well received 19th hole meal and presentations. ACGA were the favourites to win this match, but but the NUGA team showed grit and determination to snatch a win. The ACGA team were very gracious in defeat and offered their sincere congratulations. Such is the beauty of the sport we are privileged to be involved in. Next year NUGA will be defending its title of the UNITY SHIELD WINNER 2011 at a golf course near you. This marks the start of a great friendship between NUGA and ACGA and long may it last. Thanks to all involved for making this day happen. NUGA HOMECOMING 2011 - This event is penciled for 5th - 17th December 2011 and will feature NUGA playing against our sister clubs in Nigeria: Ikoyi GC, Lagos - Ikeja GC, Lagos - IBB GC, Abuja, Sagamu GG, Sagamu - Le Meridien Golf & Country Club, Akwa Ibom. This will be a fantastic 12-day golf and networking extravaganza ... one not to be missed. WATCH THIS SPACE for more information in near future
