Ayo Oshowo is the 2012 NUGA Captain. He has been a member of NUGA since 2005 and has served in the past two executives.

He plays off handicap 9+ and enjoys the game of golf as a sport and a platform for social networking, seeing golf as essential to one’s well being. He is very passionate about the game and loves the friendship and integrity associated with it.

As the Captain, he takes up his tasks in buoyancy and hope, that months of struggle and hard work, will move NUGA forward towards an unparalleled success. He aims to raise the profile of NUGA in our community through meaningful events and activities.

He is certainly looking forward to hosting the ‘2012 International Golf Competition’ in July and makes it a truly memorable occasion in this year of the London Olympics.

Ayo is a Consultant Bowel Surgeon and a University Teacher at a leading London Teaching Hospital. His main area of interest is bowel cancer awareness. He is involved in training, surgical workshops, international development and charity programs in various parts of Africa, in collaboration with the College of Surgeons. He also participates in the London to Brighton charity bike ride for the British Heart Foundation, among others.

Ayo believes in harnessing the various individual and collective skills, and, talents in NUGA, to foster positive development of the association.
